Krystle has an extensive and diverse amount of experience working with youth since 2005 ranging from the classroom to the backcountry in the United States, and in remote villages across international borders; she has led service-learning and adventure based programs in Laos, Thailand, and Costa Rica. Her passion for public lands comes from her family who exposed her to nature and recreation in the outdoors as a child. She became an ambassador for Latino Outdoors, where she promotes "cultura in the outdoors", after noticing a lack of diversity in public lands. Krystle received her bachelor's degree in Linguistics and French from California State University, Northridge. On her spare time you can find her climbing, backpacking, riding her bike, cooking traditional Mexican-dishes, or all of the above with her niece.
