Community Fire Resilience Workshop

Join Community Nature Connection (CNC), the Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains (RCDSMM), and AlterCareLine at Akuutet Learning Nursery to learn how to prepare your home for wildfire and how to emotionally and mentally care for yourself and your community in times of climate crises. As we approach the 1-year anniversary of the devastating January 2025 wildfires, it is important that we know what to do in the case of a wildfire emergency and ways that we can protect ourselves, our loved ones, and our homes.

For the first half of the day, RCDSMM will be discussing specific ways you can harden your home and walk through Akuutet Learning Nursery as a demonstration site so we know what to look out for to prevent wildfire spread to your home.
